Terms of Use

1. Scope & provider

These terms govern the use of the Prompts & Paper platform (promptsandpaper.com), operated by Cornelius Krämer, Kalkstraße 135, 51377 Leverkusen, Germany ("we"). By registering, you accept these terms.

2. Service description

Prompts & Paper is an online platform for AI-assisted pen-&-paper role-playing. The AI performs narrative tasks (game mastering, NPCs, descriptions). The service is in an early development phase and is currently provided free of charge. There is no entitlement to specific features or continuous availability.

3. Registration & account

Use requires an account created via an external provider (Google, Discord or Twitch). You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and confirm that your information is accurate. Use is permitted for persons aged 16 and over; younger users require the consent of a legal guardian. In principle, one account per person is intended.

4. Rules of conduct

The following is prohibited in particular:

• unlawful, offensive, discriminatory or youth-endangering content;
• harassment, threats or violations of third-party rights;
• misuse of the AI for spam, scams, exploits or automated attacks;
• disrupting operations or circumventing technical protection measures.

Fictional in-game conflict must be kept separate from real-world harm. In case of violations we may remove content and suspend or delete accounts.

5. Your content

Content you create (characters, campaigns, notes, etc.) remains yours. You grant us a simple, non-exclusive right to technically store, process and display this content to you and to authorised fellow players in order to operate the service. You are responsible for your content and ensure that it does not infringe third-party rights.

6. AI-generated content

Texts produced by the AI are generated automatically, are fictional and may be inaccurate or inappropriate. They do not constitute advice. We assume no warranty for accuracy, suitability or availability; use is for entertainment.

7. Rights in the platform

The platform's software, design and brand are protected. Game-rules content used is partly taken from the System Reference Document 5.2 and is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (see notice in the footer).

8. Availability & changes

As the service is under development, features may be changed, added or discontinued at any time. No specific availability (uptime) is guaranteed.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, under the Product Liability Act, and for injury to life, body or health. For simple negligence we are liable only for the breach of an essential contractual obligation (cardinal obligation) and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Otherwise liability is excluded. In particular, we are not liable for the accuracy of AI-generated output.

10. Term & termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the user relationship in the event of violations of these terms. Data-protection deletions are governed by the privacy policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms with effect for the future. We will notify you of material changes in an appropriate manner; the version published at the time applies.

12. Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. Should any provision be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. Contact: [email protected].
